Dog Trust

My world is predictable. I am loved and fed, every day. I believe that the people around me have my best interests ( love and food ) at heart. I’ve learned, over time, that there is no reason to doubt that. I give myself completely, without fear. I am warm and loving and often lick my partner’s hand. She can depend on that.
Trust, confidence, belief; all synonymous, intangible but real. The existence of trust empowers us to act. It facilitates a realization that the world is predictable; we know what to expect. Without trust, we become skeptical, paranoiac, even fearful to reach out. Without trust, we cannot act decisively and doing business becomes more difficult.
As if trust was a tangible force, it dictates how we interact.
‘I won’t bite you if you don’t kick me.’
Apply this principle to your friends, acquaintances and leaders. Leaders who ignore the importance of trust unwittingly erode their own ability to lead.
